Suminagashi

Suminagashi

墨流し

Elemental draws.

Suminagashi is an ancestral Japanese technique. Meaning "flowing ink", it is the oldest printing technique in the world. It consists of floating ink on the surface of water and then placing a sheet of paper on top to draw the design.

This collection is inspired by the four natural elements. Each elemental series consists of ten unique and signed prints: "River Reverie", "Windy Clouds", "Burning Mountains" and "Misty Forest".
